ULTRAFLOW 2550 - Ultrasonic open channel flow meter

Ultraflow 2550 is an ultrasonic open channel flow meter measures flow by utilizing ultrasonic level measurement technology. An ultrasonic sensor mounted above the channel continuously transmits high-frequency sound pulses toward the liquid surface and receives the reflected echoes. The time taken for the pulse to travel to the liquid surface and return is used to accurately calculate the liquid level (head).

In open channel applications, flow rate is determined by measuring the liquid head as it passes through a specially designed primary element such as a flume or weir. These structures are engineered to create a known relationship between liquid level and flow rate.
