ULT 3140 is Loss of Head Differential Ultrasonic Transmitter is a non-contact measuring instrument designed to continuously monitor the head loss (differential liquid level) across a hydraulic structure such as a filter bed, screen, or weir. It utilizes two ultrasonic level sensors installed at different measurement points. Each sensor measures the liquid level independently by transmitting ultrasonic pulses toward the liquid surface and receiving the reflected echo.

The transmitter then calculates the difference between the two measured levels (ΔH) to determine the loss of head.
